Job Description

A Billing and Coding Specialist assigns diagnosis and procedure codes, validates documentation, works denials and edits, communicates with payers and clinical staff, and supports clean-claim submission and compliant reimbursement in ambulatory and outpatient settings.

Qualifications (choose one)
  • Graduate of a billing/coding or medical office program; or
  • Experience: 3 months coding or insurance processing; or
  • AHIMA/AAPC coursework accepted but not required.

All candidates must meet age, ID, and conduct requirements per the NHWCA Candidate Handbook.
