Overview

The NCPIE™ pathway certifies insurance paramedical examiners to perform vitals, mini-physicals, applicant history interviews, EKG acquisition, blood/urine collection, and strict chain-of-custody documentation for carriers and paramedical vendors. One standardized exam issues three credentials at once for maximum employability.

Job Description

Conducts identity verification and consent; obtains vitals and anthropometrics; completes applicant questionnaire; performs venipuncture and urine collection with proper order and labeling; acquires 12-lead EKGs; ensures specimen integrity and chain of custody; prepares and ships specimens; documents in vendor systems and communicates with applicants professionally.

Qualifications (choose one)
  • Graduate of an allied health/paramedical/phlebotomy program; or
  • Trained on the job by an accredited paramedical vendor, lab, or clinic; or
  • Experience: 3 months verifiable paramedical/phlebotomy/EKG field work.

All candidates must meet age, ID, and conduct requirements per the NHWCA Candidate Handbook. Vendor and state requirements may apply for specimen handling and shipping.
