Job Description

An ER Technician supports nurses and providers with triage and vitals, 12-lead EKGs, blood glucose and other POCT, splinting and wound care setup, IV start assistance and supplies, patient transport and monitoring, equipment checks, emergency readiness, and accurate documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications (choose one)
  • Graduate of an allied health, EMT, or ER technician program; or
  • Trained on the job by an accredited hospital/ED; or
  • Experience: 3 months verifiable emergency department or urgent care experience.

All candidates must meet age, ID, and conduct requirements per the NHWCA Candidate Handbook.
